Mr. Shams ( may Allah have mercy on him), was appointed as a Chairman of the General Intelligence Institution as a successor to the retired General, Said Bin Abdullah Kurdi during the rule period of king Faisal Bin Abdul Aziz( may Allah have mercy on him), and was promoted to the premium grade, during this period , some foreign office of the Presidency were opened in some concerned countries, and established a number of local branches to cover all regions and expansion of the work range of the Presidency and its assignments.
