He was appointed during the rule period of His Majesty King Saud Bin Abdul Aziz( may Allah have mercy on him), as a chairman of the General Intelligence Service and was granted a General rank.
During this period two branches of the Presidency were established inside the Kingdom , they are, Western province branch in Jeddah, and Eastern province branch in Dhahran.
A group of highly qualified officers and employees were transferred from MODA to work at the General Intelligence Authority.
